List of Nile cruises in Egypt
Even though touring the temples and tombs is the main objective of a Nile cruise, relaxing aboard your boat is still an important part of the trip.
Nile River Cruise, There are many boats from which to pick. After being on your feet all morning, all of them offer a tranquil setting to relax. Some boats also contain sun decks and plunge pools, as well as libraries or spa.
All meals are provided on board and typically include both foreign and native Egyptian fare like falafel, ful medames, and sweet pastries.

Best time to cruise the Nile?
My ideal time to go on a Nile cruise would be between March and April or October and November. The weather is dry and warm without being too hot. There also tend to be fewer visitors at these times, so the sites are quieter and more atmospheric.
Nile Cruise Holidays, Nile cruises have been transporting tourists between Luxor and Aswan for well over a century, making them historically the easiest method of travel in Egypt. As you leisurely meander along the river, you get a glimpse of the nation through the eyes of earlier travellers who, like us, came to marvel at the tombs and temples the Ancient Egyptians left behind.
Luxor Aswan Nile Cruise, My imagination soars as I move through the dimly lit chambers of a tomb that is lined with paintings and hieroglyphics of ancient deities. At abandoned temples, massive columns can still be seen, and charred ceilings show that early Christians committed sacrilege there. This voyage spans thousands of years of history, culture, religion, and architecture, not simply through the physical landscape.
Aswan Nile Cruise, Although there are fewer Ancient Egyptian antiquities to explore in Aswan, the city has an amazing history of its own and exhibits a whole different aspect of Egypt through its Nubian culture (an ethnic group originating from Sudan and southern Egypt).
It's also, in my opinion, the Nile's most beautiful city, and it's a wonderful spot to unwind while watching feluccas navigate around massive river boulders. Visit its churches, monasteries, and mosques, or stroll through its markets selling typical Nubian goods and delicacies like spicy stewed beef.
Usually, a cruise includes a stop at Aswan Dam. In order to generate hydroelectricity, manage flooding, and provide water for irrigation, the dam was constructed between 1960 and 1970. The construction of the dam also resulted in the loss of entire Nubian communities as they were flooded by Lake Nasser.
The city's Nubian Museum has information about Aswan's Nubian inhabitants. This was a surprise highlight for me; the exhibits show diverse artefacts and Nubian artefacts and provide information on the Nubian way of life in southern Egypt. Old pictures of some of the communities that are now below the bottom of the lake are also available. Relocated Nubians have constructed traditional mud-brick dwellings on Elephantine Island in the middle of the Nile.
Luxor City Located in Upper Egypt, has been described as the world’s biggest open-air museum, Luxor contains about a third of the most valuable monuments and antiquities in the whole world, which makes it one of the most important tourist sites. Luxor Monuments such as The Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple, Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, El Deir El-Bahri (the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut), the worker's village at Deir El-Medina.
Luxor is located about 670 km. (416 miles) to the south of Cairo, 220km (137 miles) to the north of Aswan, and 280 kms (174 miles) to the west of Hurghada.
Luxor city located on the east bank of the Nile River in southern Egypt. It's on the site of ancient Thebes, it is consists of temples and tombs in The East Bank and in The West Bank, Thebes reached the height of its splendor and influence in modern city.
Luxor Formerly known Thebes, but “Thebes” was not what the ancient Egyptians called it. Ancient texts show that it was called T-apt, “The Shrine” with the ancient Greeks calling it Tea Pie. The name vanished then as the area submitted to the desert and then by the 10th-century Arab travelers thought the ruins were of grand buildings so started to call it (Al-Oksour) in arabic or “site of the palaces” which slowly became Luxor, also named as the city of hundred doors, as described by the Greek poet Homer in the Iliad.
You should definitely go to Cairo before your cruise, in my opinion. Luxor and Aswan are both about one hour and a half apart by plane from Cairo, making it simple to include in a trip.
You can see Cairo's Museum of Egyptian Antiquities with a personal guide and Egyptologist if you stay for two nights. You'll receive a solid foundation in ancient Egyptian culture and history, as well as get to examine some of the artefacts exhumed from the tombs and temples you'll see later on your Nile trip.
